Do you
ever get the feeling like you’re being judged when you’re eating something
you’re not supposed to? Try living with a trainer. With 9% body
fat. Who is also your boyfriend. Oh, and I'm addicted, like
seriously addicted to decadent desserts. Some people black out after they
have a couple of drinks...yeah, me, I black out after a couple of cupcakes.
And then I eat like 10 more. (ps. I black out after a couple of drinks
too).
FML.
So here's
the deal. I have the most wonderful boyfriend ever. Super
supportive, loves me just the way I am. Even loves that I'm ALWAYS trying
to lose that last 15 pounds. You know the ones I'm talking about
right? And I would lose them too. Especially if I followed his super
supportive, "I only have 9% body fat and I do this for a living"
advice. I'm not bitter. Please. The man literally plans his
workouts based on his food consumption. One time I caught him counting
out how many push-ups it would take to work off the Nacho's he just
demolished. I mean who does that!! Anyway, back to me.
I'm not
saying that he judges me or tells me what to eat or not to eat in those exact
words - he mostly just reminds me of what the repercussions are for my
indulgence and tells me not to do it. But yeah... uhm like most
people, I eat whatever I want, blackout over a plate of cupcakes, feel
like crap, see no progress with the scale, and then whine about it. If I had
a penny for every time I got the "I told you so" speech, I'd have
just enough to purchase a box of donuts. Speaking of donuts...
I went to
the apple orchard Saturday to get cider. I was so not remembering
the whole donuts and candy apples part of this deal. Of course Mr.
9% downs like 6 donuts and a candy apple, then drops for a quick 20
pushups. Jerk. I mean, snook 'ems. No way I'm getting down in
the mud, this is a brand new shirt dammit! So I put my big girl
panties on, mustered up some inner strength and will-power and refrained from
blowing my diet (mostly because I could hear Daman’s voice in my head telling
me not to, I would be upset, yadda yadda,).
Hooray!
Cortney -1 and Donuts – 0!
Eat it Daman!
I love this! Know the feeling. I black out after a couple racks of lamb!
ReplyDeleteMy blackout as of late has been Mediterranean food, which isn't all that bad...unless you just eat it because. It's just soooo good! Hats off to you. I'd probably starve around you guys!
ReplyDeleteLove your post! Major props to you for your motivation. I know how tough it can be to live with a health nut. I do everything I can to avoid gym nights!
ReplyDeleteLOL! Thank you ladies! And I love Mediterranean food! It's definitely my go-to these days. I just have to say "NO Pita Bread!!!" LOL!
